“Before hiring Alena, my life was organized but lacked focus. I was great at day-to-day execution of tasks and projects but lacked the focus and “birds-eye view” of why I was doing the things I was doing and why I was investing the time in certain areas. I wanted to reimagine my life and career into something that felt meaningful beyond being a mother. I felt certain that I didn’t leave all of myself on the [c-section] operating table – I had even started a new project I thought could be a step in the right direction - but I wasn’t sure how to dig into what that would look like.
As a single parent of four, the investment initially felt like an obstacle. My resources are in high demand and I have to edit my expenses often and objectively so I second guessed whether a commitment like this made sense for me.
After our first session I walked away with four buckets that reflect the priorities for my life. That is kind of focus I was looking for. Alena has really exceeded my expectations. She is a wealth of knowledge, resources, ideas, strategies, and just good old-fashioned support. I was not prepared for the way that she celebrates with me and for me. I was also not prepared for her to immediately challenge me about me – and be right!
In just 2 months of working with Alena, I completed and launched the first volume of my curriculum – The Black Inquiry Project. I launched my website, built by social media to 500+ followers. My project was featured on the morning news where I was interviewed live. I was invited to train the docents at The Brooks Museum of Art in Memphis, TN. I wrote a guest post for @museumedvoices, a platform founded by museum educators from the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. I was invited to train teachers in Milwaukee, WI. I was contracted with a school in Chicago, IL and was invited to be a panelist for a Shelby County Schools Equity Office event.
I would recommend Alena primarily because while it’s nice to feel good, the value is in the results, and that is exactly what I’ve had since I began working with Alena – results; win after win and I attribute so much of that to having such an amazing coach.”

"I always had lots of ideas but I did not have a good way of outlining and executing on my goals. I felt really misunderstood and I did not know about things like positive psychology assessments that looked at you as a whole person (not just your career focused strengths or opportunity areas). I LOVED that during the first session, Alena automatically leaned in to help me think through my goals and how to execute on those goals. Right after the session, I was sent relevant videos and articles that introduced me to amazing thought leaders. I learned so much during the first session that I wanted to learn more.
Alena just gets me! When I come up with tasks, she helps me to come up with dates that I will have things completed by and she helps me to acknowledge any obstacles so that they do not deter me. She is so smart and well read! I always leave learning about a new tenet of psychology or business after speaking to Alena (and she even sends me articles that I might be interested in between sessions). I feel like Alena articulates my thoughts way better than I do. She has helped me push through writer's block and does not allow me to be consumed by my fears.
Since working with Alena, I have written 4 articles and am working on my biggest article to date. I have helped my team get on track with their goals and the goals of the business. My manager has mentioned a change in my ability to execute on my goals. I have also enrolled in a career coaching program.
If you are looking for someone who will hold you accountable but simultaneously highlight all of your strengths and help you understand why you are uniquely positioned and equipped to meet your goals, Alena Conley is the coach for you. Alena is organized, well read, insightful and positive. She is a fantastic coach and is worth every penny!”

"I had been in my current profession as a Doctor of Physical Therapy for 10 years and launched my Real Estate Investing company in the past year. I had mentors in the field but I needed that personalized one on one touch to help me gain the momentum I needed to excel. I was trying to get to the next level in life and finding the path to do so consisted of podcasts and reading. Since working with Alena, I have been able to create a clear concise plan with my ultimate end goal in mind. Alena has helped me get in tune with my entire being not just my professional goals; she really raises my vibrations and after every single session I feel empowered to keep pressing towards my mark.
Coaching was something that I didn’t even realize that I needed but as fate has it our paths crossed and it has been an invaluable tool.I am thankful that she chose this path because it is truly her calling the way she unselfishly gives of herself for the greater good for others.”
